Root canals can harbor bacteria, so I don't doubt cavitations could do the same thing. I wonder about that with my daughter since she had 4 pulled for braces when she was young and her gums were slow to heal. WE didn't know she had Lyme then. She wants her wisdom teeth out, but I told her it would be risky for her heart since she does have gum problems which are likely Lyme related, probably BB in there.
I think a naturopath her has used laser treatments for infections in the mouth. It might be cold laser, which a lot of chiros use. Erchonia cold laser, if I spelled that right. It might be something you'd like to include in your practice, but it's expensive.
