Toddler herx

Hi,

We have decided to treat our 2.75 year old with amoxicillin. She starts today. I know I am a pretty big herxer. Do toddlers herx like adults do?

What can we expect as the lyme dies off? I've heard that kids handle it better, but I'm not sure what the effects are.

Being young has the advantage of them not having a lot of garbage in their systems yet to deal with on top of the infection. I hope it goes well!

my son, 4, has been doing well with the antibiotics now for 10 weeks. I heard going into treatment that children don't herx as badly, and I've found that to be true.
I never have noticed his symptoms to be worse for him on the abx, like with a herx; in fact only better. His symptoms started being relieved rather quickly, with fatigue even mostly leaving after about 6 weeks.
he stills has occasional, but rare, fatigue, and some symptoms unfortunately, but is doing so much better that overall I feel good about it.

oh, I have noticed a tad more crankiness too, but just a little with him.
