So as many of you know I went through a lot of treatment and stopped antibiotics in August. Continued with herbals, vitamins. Been on just vitamins for awhile. A few hiccups here and there.

Well got some normal bloodwork done.

High neutrophils
High WBC
Low monocytes
High bun/creatinine ratio.

I'll let you know when I figure out whats going on. BOO.

I guess on the upside....Oct. 2012 when lyme hit, I had low neutraphils ( I think), definitely low WBC, and my RBC were too big from lack of nutrients cuz lyme was stealing it all. I guess now my immune system is like helllllllllls yah lets make some wbc.

I'm so very sorry to hear this, Opugirl! Please do let us know what's happening when you find out. Hopefully it will be something fairly minor to take care of!

The question is...how do you feel these days? You sound great despite some of your numbers being elevated.

Also chat with our herbalist...she knows how to read labs and make sense out of them :-) (I love her)!!!!

lol, I feel pretty pretty good... I've been more thirsty, my tummy has been a bit bothered - I honestly think something is off with my adrenals. Not super thirsty, just thirsty. But goodness, compared to this time last year. Wow - great.

I will say, I'm amazed that I've literally been drinking fat, drinking FAT - and I've got fantastic cholesterol. lol. I will definitely give the herbalist a call!

I do find it ironic...that I feel ten times better then I did this time last year when I was being treated and NOTHING came back out of range then. and now, I feel pretty good and I have like 5 things out of range.

Beth, it takes time for the body to adjust, specially after getting its butt kicked by Lyme the way yours did. I hope your herbalist can help you bring those numbers back to normal.

By the way, is it possible that the high WBC count may be that your body and immune system is now healthy and strong enough to fight the infection?

@Trav, I guess so but then I think I would feel it more. We've had a lot of sick folks in my office area. One with this god awful cough. I've had a bit of a sore throat/thirst for 3 weeks ebbs/flows but nothing like oh I'm sick. And once I stop the coffee and drink fat...my stomach is fine. I've had coffee two days in a row now and oh yea. Time to make coffee a treat and not a daily.

@Healing - that is really how I'm trying to look at it. The only thing that does not make sense is the high BUN/Creatinine but it isn't alarmingly high.

It could be that you did get whatever is in the office and your body is fighting it - although that depends on the timing of the tests too. Just a thought.

Traveler maybe right, my daughter had blood work done and the numbers were off at the time she was getting a cold. Her doctor suggested to repeat the test after she was done with the cold an then the numbers were normal.

Are those particular labs you mentioned indicative of Lyme or co infections? (Aside from the WBC). I just ask because I'm not really familiar with the desired results.

Hi opugirl was wondering if you possibly have some other infection going on. Have you been sick recently ?
I just read the sore throat. Strep test ?

Hey funny you should say that. I've been feeling better latley and got my WBC count and it was slightly elevate even though I felt fine. Well sure enough 2days later I got a violent stomache bug that my whole family had. Lasted a few days so just watch out.

Hi Opugirl,

So sorry to hear this but on the flip side, sometimes test numbers really don't mean anything.  I remember when Heather'sDad posted about some his daughter's test results which were not good (after she healed) but Heather's Dad went on to explain that the test results didn't mean anything bad.   I should go look for that post.

If you feel good, concentrate on that!  Don't go by numbers as they can change from day to day.  The mind is so powerful so think positive okay?

Bummer! I hope it is just a virus your body is fighting. I had 2 illness a week apart and I'm just now starting to feel better.

Lol - I'm perfectly fine. It is VERY early so I'm not telling any coworkers/family except for my sister who I'm pretty close with.

Beth is going to have a mini-me...I just don't get it. My husband and I have used the same birth control for 8 years without any scares at all. Suddenly I get rid of lyme and WHAM. We weren't even trying!

Well I hope everything works out, I know miscarriages are really common so I will try not to be too upset given my last years health if that happens...that just means I could focus again on getting healthy this year and then try next year.

How awesome is that though, I thought I was sick and instead I might get a super cute baby! Called my old LLMD - and he says I'm fine and dandy. Little chance of baby getting sick since I've been healthy and herbalist is going to take care of me. turn

What wonderful news!! Congratulations! I know the feeling since I was very ill in my youth, most likely Lyme, and then had 2 kids after getting better. I had several miscarriages before that. So I hope this is your time to feel the excitement of a new life growing in you!
