I have been battling Lyme's since 08/13. Since I have been on antibiotics, I have these bumps on my scalp and back of neck. My LLD doesn't know what they are. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience. Interestingly, the tick bite was on my head.

The LLD did hypothesis that it may be the bacteria coming to the surface for air.

My naturopath thought it may be related to draining in my lymph nodes.

I welcome your thoughts before I head to a dermatologist.

What size are the bumps?

I had bumps on my elbows,between my fingers and on my feet.

My doctor said that they were cysts and that I would have to live with them........big help,that was!

Now here's the thing,they have all gradually gone away( apart from one on my elbow,that's getting smaller) as my healing process has progressed.

Stangely enough mine"popped up" during my time on antibiotics and have receeded since I started Cowden........mighty strange but true.

I had quite a few skin issues with lyme. Lots of ingrown hairs, bumps. It went away with antibiotic treatment. However, I have since had secondary issues from the antibiotics causing minor rashes. I had breakouts for about 6 months following after finishing the antibiotics.

Lyme bacteria wouldn't surface for air because they hate oxygen but it could be bacteria dying on your skin and unable to get out per se causing inflammation in your skin. I would recommend trying a gentle skin brush. On a previous thread, someone mentioned having lesions from lyme and that castile soap really helped. That might be worth a shot.

I have and had bumps, pustules on my scalp, fingers, hands and elbows. They would get to the point of being uncomfortable, then would scratch these bumps, they became itchy and then would scab over. I have them right now. Just like other symps they come and go. I am on antibiotics now for 60 days and I'm surprised they are flaring up again, I just dont know what causes it and none of my doctors do either, they say its eczema, the pat answer when they have no clue. Also have sores on arms and legs but these are different than the bumps described above. They really hurt when there are a lot of them on my fingers.
