Spatial Issues: Dizzy

I want to say something positive. Today was a beautiful day, and my mom drove me to get a hair cut. Then she suggested we go to my niece's field day at her school. I thought I'd give it a try because I knew my son would love seeing all the kids.

I thought it might be like 20 kids on the field or something, but the event was on a blacktop school-yard with very uneven pavement, and there were folding chairs for us to sit on. There were probably 100 or more kids. It was also very sunny. I couldn't make it for more than an hour. Everything looked slanted, and I felt like I was sliding and tilting- so hard to explain. I wanted to walk to get a water, but the uneven pavement made me feel all wavy.

Then all the kids yelling and dancing- it was cute, but horrible at the same time! I started having massive anxiety, and more dizziness, and had to pick up my son and go sit in the car until it was over. The saddest part of the whole thing was my son crying and looking over my shoulder at all the kids as I walked us away. I feel so sad when I have to do things like that, and it interferes with his fun. But then I think- hey, I tried. He got to have an hour of fun, which I probably couldn't have tried a year ago.

How do you all deal with your kids? Do you feel like they are suffering because of you?

I know in the grand scheme of things, he probably won't remember me dragging him away, but it still bothers me. I just want us to have a normal life.

I have one word for you Cephalosporin (advanced generation preferably). I had the worst and scariest dizziness ever and this class of medicine cut right through it. Good luck.

My son's birthday was so nice! Thanks for asking. I made a cake and we had a small gathering with family and a close friend. It was perfect, really. The weather was nice, too. I even spent most of the day on my feet, moving around and being social!
