Hi all, just a quick question that's been bothering me, my LLMD was very surprised when I told her I have 0% digestible and gut issues, from the tone of her voice it sounded as if id made a mistake in what I was telling her.

But no the fact is I have no digestion issues what so ever, and the percentage I give to general pain from this illness would be below 1%
Is this normal? I mean my chief symptoms are literally severe light sensitivity (to the point I cant watch TV or leave the house) dizziness, near fainting spells, shaking and breathing/respiratory problems.

I have the IgeneX results back both positive along with cdc positive so I know for a fact it's lyme and company, but from what I've read on forums etc about digestive problems and pain being master symptoms I'm starting to have doubts.

Any thoughts guys?

I do not have any digestive issues yet. I do have a lot of pain, though.
I'm curious to see if most people have digestive issues. Is it possible digestive issues come after Lyme's been in us for a while?

How long have you had your symptoms?

Hi Girlie, I've it for 7 years now only diagnosed last year though. Never had a problem with my digestive symptoms - not that I'm complaining! Just find it odd no pain or no digestive problems.

I remember years ago I had bad fatigue and head aches but they dwindled out into the more severe symptoms I listed above

Hi Carl,

I read or heard something recently stating that if you have Lyme, that automatically means digestive issues. (I wish I could remember where that was from. Maybe it will come to me.) I was surprised by that. I want to look into that some more.

Most days I have no pain, or very little. I mostly have throat issues, Neuro and GI stuff. I don't have digestive issues or food allergies, but nausea so bad that I'm unable to eat. Or gagging if food touches my throat. Or no appetite, or trouble swallowing or burning throat and mouth to the point I'm stuck in bed. Or flooding weight when I enable to eat normally.

Just so weird.

You could have intestinal inflammation and be asymptomatic.

CarlG I did not have any digestive issues until I started antibiotics. That's what killed my gut. I would never go that route again now that I have been through it. I would do silver. It kills everything too but does not create the problems that antibiotics create.

Ahh okay I see, few interesting articles on Ill have to read on that thanks Maine. When I started Abx I had 10/10. worst reaction in the world, all neurological though.

I don't have any digestive issues either. I think the digestive issues are mainly from the antibiotics causing yeast overgrowth? Anyways there have been some times when I would eat a coconut donut everyday (I know I shouldn't), and then my stomach feels a bit inflamed. But then I just take massive amounts of probiotics and lots of probiotic yogurt, fermented coconut etc... And them my stomach feels fine again. Also I have been able to tolerate any food now, including monster energy rehabs, coffee, hash browns, and donuts... although I generally try and eat as healthy as possible. I still keep my diet at least 90% really healthy foods though.

Not everyone with Lyme has pain or gut symptoms.

Some people with Lyme only get neurological symptoms.
