Hi all my name is Hunter and I am new to using this forum. I have been fighting Lyme's now for 7 months and now my doctor said that the antibiotics may no longer be a option for me if they are causing my white blood cell count to be low. I want to ask if anyone else has had this problem and what your doctor did about it. Mine is saying the only thing else to do is the Hyperbaric therapy. They own that I do not want to be miss lead by my doctor's I just want to see if anyone else has had luck with any other treatment? Thanks so much!!!!

I recommend that you make an appointment with a Hemoncologist to see why your white cell count is being impacted and what can be done about it.

There are different classes of antibiotics and not all work the same or have the same side effects. Your doctor should investigate alternative medicines.

Hello Hunter and welcome to the forum. If you go to the "New to Lyme? Start Here!" thread at the top of the page, you can learn about some of the alternatives to abx's. There are several choices. The oxygen chamber may help you too. Keep coming here to learn more and let us know how you're doing.

Low WBC counts are a known side-effect of many antibiotics (abx). The only alternative I know of is to either pulse the abx or choose a protocol that uses other things besides abx (e.g., an herbal protocol).

An experienced LLMD would know how to deal with this issue.

I did nano silver and it really helped me. Silver is a natural antibiotic.

Hunter, I don't know about the hyperbaric chamber. Do you want to stay on antibiotics? Maybe you should consult an llmd other than your doctor on the white blood cell thing.
Lymebabe, what the best way to know what kind of silver you are getting? I was reading that how it is absorbed and how much is of course crucial to its effectiveness and that there are these products with some patented method of delivery that more effective? I don't really know anything about silver. Is that what nano silver is? Is that highly available?
