Normal CD57. Could this be lyme?

Hi members!

I got my test results: WB57 IGM positive for OSPCa, and flagelllin, but CD57 is in the middle of the normal range, however I have lyme like symptoms such as itching, numbness, vision problems, headache, vomiting, and also GI problems for years.
My LLMD thinks it is definetly chronic lyme, but the normal CD57 bothers me... Any experience whit this marker?

A lot of people believe lyme doctors jumped on the CD57 bandwagon a little too soon. There was a dr in Maryland that got a grant to study CD57 correlation with how ill someone was and found that it really didn't match up.

Try not to focus too much on that and focus more on healing!

What exactly is your CD57? What is middle of normal range? I had my CD57 pretty high until I got to Sponaugle and they started pulling toxins out of my brain and nerves. My CD57 took a dive as Lyme reached my blood stream. So you may have Lyme hiding elsewhere without it affecting CD57 much.

:( my sons cd 57 was in the high 200s and I was happy thinking maybe he dodged the bullet.. He's in the middle if testing,mine of my other treatment definitely had it and has been treated for about 1 month now.

Thank you very much for the answers.
Mine is:
-NK cells: 397 (60-700)
-CD57 positive NK cells: 255 (100-360)

I made also an ELISPOT LTT test, where:
-borrelia antigen 4 (<2)
-borrelia ospa/ospc/dbpa 5 (<2)
-borrelia specific LFA-1 1 (<2)

My doctor prescribed 3types of abx for 7weeks, but it is hard to take them since I have chronic gastritis (duodenitis) as well (probably related to lyme too), and the stomach pain had been getting worse. I wasn't able to take the second abx, and next week I have to start the third one, and I'm afraid of the GI side effects. I do not have strong herxheimer reaction, and because of this, and because of the CD57 result the bad idea came into my mind that it maybe is not chronic lyme at all. I am a bit uncertain now...

Lymebabe: what this exactly means, to pull toxins out of brain and nerves? What was your treatment?

I was on ALA and glutathione IVs and they are able to detox chemicals and toxins that bind to fats (like mold, aromatic solvents, pesticides, etc.), which in the body means brain and nerves. If your LTT is positive then you have Lyme. That is the most sensitive test in the world I think. I am so sorry about the gastritis! You may have to go a different route. I have not tried this but there are people here who have healed with essential oils. This website describes what oils to use and how to make suppositories to that might be an idea for you?

Hope you find help! Right now I do silver the day before my colonic and I am on Purify by The Tree Life for parasites and Protomyxzoa. I wholeheartedly recommend their tincture. I did not think I had a problem with parasites and after starting taking it my colonic girl is just about falling off her chair with what is coming out of me. I had no signs of intestinal parasites prior to taking Purify and so far I feel like a truckload has come out!

I am also exploring essential oils and I will be posting about it. Good luck!

Here is a link that shows the correlation between exposure mercury vapor and lowered CD57 scores ... The subjects were fluorescent-lamp makers in Japan ..

CD57 is NOT simply an indicator of infection w/ borrelia -- another example of so called "LLMDs" parroting each other and not doing the research ...
