When can we tell if Bartonella treatment is finished?

Just wondering when do we know bartonella treatment is finished?

My LLMD said Bart treatment takes 4-6 months. But he treats until the bartonella symptoms appear resolved.

I did rifampin for a month, and am on my 3rd month of septra DS. So I guess i'm approaching 4 months... I also did a full bottle of A-Bart and a few bottles of Houttuynia.

Anyways I have no more bartonella symptoms at all now. Do we treat bartonella 2 months symptom free as well?

I would hate to stop treating it then have it come back in a week and have to treat it for another 4-6 months... My biggest fear in treatment is relapse...

I have been treating Bart longer than 6 months, but not much luck for now.
I honestly don't know how much longer one should treat after the disappearance of the symptoms. I will for sure do that once I'm liberated of that beast....

What have you treated with, Marie. I'm convinced (and my LLMD suspects as well) that this unrelenting depression is mostly a result of Bart. Did you try Rifampin?

Pickle--the only thing I've heard about all of these diseases is that you treat for two months after resolution of symptoms. I'd imagine that goes for Bart, too.

I treated with Rifampicine, then Houttuynia (seemed to be the most powerful in my opinion, but I had to stop, cause my protocol was too heavy, I plan to start again once I'm getting more comfortable with the cowden. And now I'm using Cumanda (4 months now).

I got rid of the Bartonella and have not had any Bart symptoms for maybe like a month? The intense anxiety and insomnia has been gone since about mid march.

But I'm still treating with Septra DS and occassionally houttuynia. I also finished off a bottle of A-Bart. I'm going to treat for 5 more weeks, that is until my Septra DS is all out. Just to make sure.

I'd hate to have a relapse. From what I'm reading lyme is the one more likely to relapse after treatment though.
