This is the protocol my ND uses in her practice.

Anyone have good results? and how long were you on it?

Anyone try the one for Babesia first?

How expensive is it? And does it go well with Mepron for Babesia?

Well from the LLND I saw it was $110 a bottle! I bought the A-Bart and finished off the bottle. I have no idea if my bartonella is finished... I don't really have any bartonella symptoms, but my foot was sore a few days ago. So that might have been a bartonella symptom.

I guess $110 a bottle isn't so bad if you only need one bottle at a time...but i doubt that...and if it lasts a month.

I think they're only available for physicians?

Naturopathic doctors or medical doctors have to sell them for some reason. I think they can possibly make people herx, so it's important to start at a lower dose and slowly titrate up from there

I've been in long-term treatment for Lyme and Babesia, using a combination of abx and herbals. A couple of months ago my improvement stalled out and my LLMD told me to start A-BAB from the Byron White Protocol. It is extremely strong and effective. I'm at 98% wellness now and improving.

I am on AL complex. So far the bottle has lasted me almost 2 months. I just got up to 10 drops a day and got some good herxing out of it. I like it because it's so much easier than swallowing so many pills.

I will do a separate post on this as well: My ND doesn't want to treat Lyme first, as she thinks I may have Babesia. And she says Lyme often won't respond to treatment if you have Babesia.

But, I have thought about it...and I'm thinking maybe I should try and treat Lyme first...because if i get a good response...then maybe i dont' have Babesia...and won't have to take the treatment - I will be going on anti-malarial drugs if i have Babesia...along with Byron White stuff.

the ND wants to start with babesia treatment first...and while I understand her reason...I'm a little apprehensive..because aren't the ani-malarial drugs harder on the body than the abx?

Should I just go with what she says...I am quite the "control freak" and am having trouble just "goin with it".

Part of the problem is she doesn't have a lot of experience with Lyme disease - she is knowledgeable and is treating patients, but still not as experienced as i'd like.

Just to add: We didn't test for co-infections - so treating Babesia will be based on symptoms....

Night sweats, or air hunger? Do you have either of those symptoms?

Lymepickle: I have night sweats...but not drenching...and the past month or so, they're not as bad.
I think I had air hunger at night a few months back - used to wake up gasping. Not happening anymore
I do have to consciously take deep breaths throughout the day..feel like I'm not getting enough air.
That's my issue - I may not have Babesia...so to start treatment there first...I'm not sure is a good idea. Especially if the Mepron is hard on the body.
