opugirl is Awesome: One person really does make a difference.

I posted a few weeks ago feeling "depressed and hopeless" as the thread title announced. I received some very encouraging replies, and some words that really made me check myself, and realize that I can't ever give up becasue I have a little guy depending on me. I'm really lucky because I have a lot to be thankful for, in spite of Lyme.

Tonight I just wanted to tell our little community here that opugirl drove to my house, well over two hours away, and came to cheer me up. Yup. She drove to my parents' house with a car loaded with veggies and supplements and spent the afternoon with me.

We ate our broccoli and rice outside in the sun, and I gained plenty of helpful ideas and suggestions.

I'm really inspired by this wonderful person. I hope that when I've regained my health, I can help other people in a similar way. I will always remember this day :)

Yes, she is a great person and didn't hesitate to reach out and help you. I'm glad it was such a big help to you during the tough time you were going through. We were pretty worried about you. Hold on to that memory if more hard times come up. I hope you won't have to go through that again.

Wow, I just read your post again. That is amazing. Opu., where do you live? Can you bring me something good to eat? I have a nice view from my deck :)
