So I found a LLMD in the area - next appointment December. My ARPN prescribed 3 weeks doxycycline which I am a ~week into. The infectious disease dr (whom I will not be seeing as I did not like their attitude and did not hear good thing about them) did ask my Dr to run another test before I could be put on their referral list.
Since I am not going to get an appointment until at least December I was wondering if anyone could tell me what / why they wanted this additional lab?
The various Lyme related labs are below. And since I am on the topic can Low Vitamin a result of Lyme?
New Lab: Lab Report: B. burgdorferi C6 Acute Panel - 6/12/2014: Value 0.15LI Reference Range REF <=0.90 ***So this would say that I do not have Lyme if I understand it????*****
The three prior text completed at the same time - I did not get any banding information just a "positive":
Lab Report: Lyme Ab IgG IgM - 05/20/2014: Restults: Lyme Ab Interp., EIA Value: Positive; Reference range: REF Negative
Lab Report: Lyme Abs, IgG and IgM by WB - 05/20/2014 - Value was positive for both with reference range REF Negative on both of these.
B. Burgdorferi IgM Antibody by Western Blot
B. Burgdorferi IgG Antibody by Western Blot
Lab Report: Vitamin D,25-OH Total - 05/20/2014
vitamin D 25-hydroxy, serum - value: 13 ng/ml Reference Range REF 30-100
I feel like 13 is super low as many places I have read said you really should be at least 50-80. I am on 50,000 UI for 8 weeks of D2 but I have done this lab run before - back in 03/09/2013 my result was 19.2 ng/ml and I took 4 weeks of the 50,000 UI but did not get a follow-up lab (guessing I should have)...
Any insight is appreciated
