Does late stage lyme cuase bladder issues? Have been dx with many uti's over past few years but not the traditional uti s, there is no pain, there is pressure and high lymphocyte counts, treated with abx. Sometimes leakage. This lyme crap makes me feel like im eighty years old prematurely. Wonder if I dare ring up another symp with pcp? Probably just goung to be sent to another darn spevialist. Im so tired of doctors.

I'm so very sorry that you are dealing with bladder issues too, Roxie! Do you know if you have Bartonella? It causes bladder issues fairly frequently called interstitial cystitis - an inflammation of the lining of the bladder. www.health.harvard.edu/newsweek/Diagnosing_and_treating_interstitial_cystitis.htm

The 'good news' is that with treatment for Bartonella, the Interstitial cystitis resolves on it's own. I would encourage you to call your doctor to discuss this. There may be medications that will help if it's bad enough.

Someone on fb in one of the Lyme groups posted about bladder issues. She had such painful episodes. Let me see if I can find it and I will post a link.

my son did before treatment and then still about a month into treatment.

He couldn't tell when he had to go sometimes, and would just go, having accidents here and there; one even at the grocery store. He is four, but he had been fully potty trained for about 6 months at the time, and I know it was out of his control. Got to be up to 4-5 days a week, 2-4 times a day at it's worst. But the treatment has helped and he hasn't had that happen since about Feb.

I do see it on symptoms lists for lyme.

I had a lot of problems with my bladder. Surgery 3 months ago.

I don t feel good.

I did some Elisa tests. Nothing there.

I did DFM. I have spirochetes , mycoplasma, anaplasma, bartonella.
I have many many symptoms....

I will go see a doctor...

Just was not sure if due to lyme / coinfections or abx. Im managing, just a reminder of all things not working optimally.

Also frustrated at the insurance company denying coverage for refill of abx cause the FDA has ruled a person should not need more than 60 pills in 6 month period for my 'other baterial infection'....

Hi daniel, sounds like you have lyme and coinfections. Have you tested for borellia?

sorry to hear about surgery. I am worried about that since I feel these bugs are part of the reason. Find an llmd as soon as you can.

yes, this is a tough one. I had cystitis for five weeks. I was running to the bathroom 20 times a day. I had bladder pain, but no pain on urination, and my urine cultures all came out negative. This one before I knew I had lyme and bartonella. Went to my Obgyn and urologist - they tested for everything and couldn't figure it out. Which antibiotics are you taking? What cleared it up for me was augmentin, taking D Mannose, and taking sugar out of my diet. But of course when I stopped taking augmentin, the lyme came back full force and that's when I got really sick.

Im taking azithromycin and septra and antifungals. When I see my pcp next week going to ask for the urine test to see if lymphocyte count is hihg again. In the past the drs were adamant only certain abx would treat such a high bacterial count. Why in the blazes after years of repeated higb count why dont any of them care to figure out why. I'm sick and tired of paying drs when all they do is treat symps....a pharmacist could do that, why pay a dr??? Very frustrated. Been feeling poorly for a number of days after seeing some slihht improvement. Just so frustrated. I am beyond being tired of all this.

I started being able to read a little again and so I started trying to educate myself bug now last 4-5 days cant reallg read much. Very woozy, weak and wobbly ladt few days, feel like I xant walk straight line. I just cant rely on these drs anymore, need to learn more but my body, brain not c operating.

Still concerned about bladder. Pcp told me to see urologist, great another dr.

I have had strong urge that comes on without warning. If I'm not able to get to a restroom, I've been known to have a problem. Not fun at all. Grrrrrr.

I believe this is due to co-infections. This seems to come and go. On treatment with doxy and cef, I've seen some improvements.

I hope you also get improvements, WITHOUT having to see more drs. I hope that your dr will step up their game and help you now with this.

I'm wondering if this is due to inflammation if taking the otc for bladder inf that turn urine orange? Just a thought.

Our daughter had the same urinary symptoms, Breaking Free. They resolved with bartonella treatment.

Llmd suspects I have bart but test was negative. I also saw improvement but I forgeg which drug. It use to come and go with antibiotics but ive been on abx since March and no help.

My daughter has constant UTI. She doesn't urinate but 2 or 3 times a day and has to strain, but no pain.

Lymecrazed, can you get her to drink cranberry juice? That helps all things urinary.

I have no pain but does get un comfortable, pressure, bloating. Just had another urinalysis ghat came back abnormal for WBC Esterase +2 and WBC 11-30 hpf. This bladder issue has geen ongoi g for 3+ years. The discomfort comes anc goes almost like lyme and coinfections. So pcp wants me to see urologists but has no referral.

Going to send latest lab to llmd to see if she pays more attention than when I verballyexpressed concern last vvisit.
