Lyme disease specialists and/or Lyme literate medical doctors?

Hi all,

I am new here and looking for recommendations for Lyme specialists in Maine. Bangor is the closest city that I live near but would be grateful for any and all suggestions.

I only got diagnosed with Lyme in the last several weeks (after about eight months of going to doctors and trying to figure things out) and have started on doxycycline with the support of probiotics and some dietary adjustments to reduce inflammation. I'm consulting my general practitioner as well as a naturopathic doctor (who is familiar with Lyme disease and has been treating it for several years) but thought it might be worth tracking down a specialist as well.

Thanks! And for probiotics I am taking HLC intensive formula and saccharomyces boulardii.
