Adding Bart treatment - my ideas - yes or no? opinions?

I am on doxy now, and have been thinking I have bartonella along with lyme. I don't have the red streaks, but a lot of pain has been my predominant symptom, along with nervous system - vibrations.

I read on LLND (Dr. C from Richmond BC) - his website has a section on bart and reads:
Bartonella symptoms are wide ranging, but most often mimic neurological Lyme symptoms as well as cause pronounced neurological pain. As such, common bartonella symptoms are:
- Cognitive difficulties and brain fog
- Pronounced neurological pain, shooting sensations, sensations of being plugged into an electrical current, vibratory sensations
- Blurred vision
- Sore soles, especially in the morning, with the sensation of walking on pebbles

Those are the symptoms I have. I definitely have and always have had the nerve pain, and vibrations...also my right foot is sore in the arch. Of course he listed more symptoms - but I only identified the ones I have.
So: I read LLMD - Dr. M. R. bartonella treatement guidelines: In a few weeks I would like to add a treatment.
Tier 1 (most effec.) - I rifampin - but I want to stay on doxy and rifampin can decrease doxy's effectiveness.
Another Tier 1 is levaquin with doxy...but I don't like what I read about levaquin and tendon rupture.
So, Tier 2 - combining a macrolide and tetracycline. Example: azithryomycin 500 mg twice daily plus doxy 200mg twice daily. That's the one I'd like to try.

So, even if I don't have bartonella, the azithromycin and doxy should still be okay for lyme treatment?

I will be seeing a ND in a week or so...so will discuss...and she usually consults a retired LLMD.

Many months ago when I was going from Dr. to Dr. to find out what was wrong with me, I'd say ,"It feels like my finger is plugged into a lite socket" The docs either shrugged it off, or looked at me like I was nuts.

So, when I read the symptoms that i listed in my last post - from Dr. C's website....it made me realize that I could quite possible have bartonella.

By the way ...I have and have had cats....all my life...lol

Doxy and Rifampin are a good combo. Then consider adding Plaquinel.
This worked the best for me.

My first round for Bart I had been on Zith while previously battling babs with mepron. When I dropped mepron to start Rif I stayed on Zith, then later added Doxy. It was somewhat effective, but Babs came back so I dropped rif to go back on Mepron.

The only problem with adding rifampin to doxy, is in the treatment guidelines (Dr. M. R.) - it says that the rifampin can decrease the doxy's effectiveness.

So that's why I thought I'd choose one of his Tier 2 methods - adding a macrolide to the tetracycline.
