I want to apologize to the forum moderators for giving my opinion on a previous post, I was out of line. Because I am a medical professional, I will no longer comment on anyone's condition or problems. I will adhere to the rule of not giving medical advice because I am a medical professional. I have 21 years of experience and multiple years of Lyme/protozoan research and it was not my intention to break this rule.

I came to this board to learn and share. I hopefully will be able to continue to learn.

As I said in another post, Georgia Hunter, we really appreciate your input! But the rules state that you must be very careful to not hand out medical advice, so thank you so much for understanding!! I don't make the rules, but as a Mod, I do have to "enforce" them.

I think I can say that we all look forward to your continued participation on this forum! :-)

Hello to you both and I saw this and thought I may be able to bring something to the table Georgia. I have read some of your posts as well and like Trav hope you continue to participate in the forum and that you have much to offer others.

I also am medical professional and have almost 30 years in the field. One of the hardest things for me to overcome here was here I'm merely another user but still have experience that can possibly help someone. It's a fine line but actually many of us learned to help without jeopardizing HWs liability.

If your careful how you phrase, use layman's terms, and suggestions versus statements then you can still point someone in the right direction. You will see us say "we are not Drs, nurse's, etc qualified here to make a dx." But rather have you considered xyz? Or talk to your Dr about trying 123? Your not diagnosing but giving them information to assist them when talking to their Drs.

Just wanted to let you know your not being singled out as the rules are for all of us and there's other healthcare people here who successfully participate and support members.

I understand. It's a shame that the interpretation of medical advice can vary depending ones viewpoint. I have a list of notes I've taken from the medical literature over the years that could be helpful to some people. These are just statements and facts about our conditions and relevant topics to investigate but contains notes from personal correspondence with Dr Yasko and Dr Fry. It's the result of many hundreds of hours of study. If someone was attempting to treat themself, this list could potentially alter their therapy and that would be a violation of the rules for me to do that. Wanting to adhere to the rules, I won't post it.

LOL! Vickie - letting you visit? You are welcome any time!!! Thank you for posting your situation here!! You have explained it in a way that I couldn't simply because I've never been in the medical profession!

Georgia Hunter - I actually agree with you, but Admin is looking to protect this site from liability, and as a Mod, I have to help do this too.

Again, I do hope that you continue to post, as you do share very valuable (& valid!) information. And thank you again for your patience with this!
