I had a post up the other day about this, but wanted to change my question just a bit so thought I'd write a new one.
basically,
do you think that the blood cell count range levels change by month and not just years.
here's what I mean:
my son (4 1/2) at his last CBC had a 5.2 for white blood cell count (which is just shy of the lower end range of 5.5. His llmd said she's not worried; that lyme and treatment can do that, and he had 4 months abx and one month fluconazole- and we'll continue to monitor all his levels of course.)
so, a 4 year old low end range of wbc is 5.5
a 5 year old low end range of wbc is 5.0
I would think that a four and a half year old low end range for wbc would be 5.25.
I mean if he was 4 years and 11 months old, would his low end range really be 5.5 and then four weeks later, bam, down to 5.0?
I think it must taper off incrementally, and therefore probably be 5.25 at 4 1/2.
This is me trying to tell myself that at four and a half years old, his wbc count of 5.2 is really not that much lower than the 5.25 I'm thinking the low end range must be. (even though honestly the 5.2 isn't that much lower than 5.5 to begin with I suppose.)
Well, the llmd said don't worry (but I'm a worry wort), yet I have read how lyme, and long Rx abx and yeast (which he's been dealing with) can cause lower counts, so I'll try not to worry.
He's feeling better than ever actually! I would say 95-99% symptom free now for the past month, so I do believe he's okay. We're switching to herbs in fact when we get home from our vacation.
Anyway, this got long! but thanks for any thoughts!
