Possible reaction to quinine/clindamycin??

I am currently on a combination of antibiotics where I take quinine & clindamycin for 10 days and then switch to biaxin & plaquenil for 10 days and then I am supposed to repeat that sequence a second time.

I essentially had no issue with the first sequence but I started my second round this morning of quinine & clindamycin and I am having a terrible reaction. I have the feeling of tiny pin pricks all over my entire body (even on my fingers, bottoms of feet.....everywhere!). It feels absolutely horrible!

The first time I took this combination I had no problems at all and I don't understand what is happening. Any thoughts on what is going on or what I could do tip make it stop??

Definitely call your doctor and let them know. My first herx to one of the medications I was on was not until two continuous weeks in. Bacteria/parasites cycle so if they are replicating at this time you could have a much larger die off, even though you were on the medication previously. Quinine is quite strong and highly regulated so that could be it.

It is probably that it is a herx, so try to drink some good detox tea and relax. :) Hope you start to feel better soon! Let us know what the dr says!
