I'm thinking of adding to my current supplement list. What are your thoughts on using Methylguard even if I haven't had the gene testing done?
It looks like it is still a good supplement of B12 and Folic Acid?

Also Nutramedix Burbur to help my detoxing.

Any advice/suggestions/ideas of what two items to add.

The other one I'm thinking of is GSE, but maybe I'll wait until I have my first visit with the LLND in a few weeks.
...maybe cholestyramine?

Hi,

I just saw my LLMD and she added both B12 and a form of Folic Acid to my cocktail. I'm just starting them today.

I don't know if these are considered supplements--or just herbal medicines. But how about artemesia and cryptolepsis?

My multi vitamins have the methyl forms in them, but we haven't had the gene testing at this point.

Mike - My Vitamin D is a sublingual form - Sisu brand. I just buy it from our local health food store. I know it works because I had my Vit D levels tested.

I was taking the serrapeptase twice daily - a.m. and p.m.

I haven't been taking it lately. It was part of my Cat's Claw, Jap. Knotweed , Eleutheros protocol which I have discontinued for now since it seemed to be too much with the abx.

I should probably be still taking the serrapeptase with my abx.

Girlie I use the Burbur, parsley and Pinella as a detox and if taken ever 10 minutes when I am herxing, I can get over it pretty quick. Not a bad idea to take the Burbur.

I am new to this forum but not new to Lyme Disease. I was diagnosed with many different things through the last 13 or 14 years until during skin Cancer removal my Dermatologist said I had every symptom of Lyme and urged me to be tested. After my picc line treatment for Lyme, I seemed to get rid of Fibromyalgia, arthritis (too late for my knees. They had already been replaced) and several other problems. I was good for about a year. I have been slipping backward now the past several months and began to feel I was just dying again. Can't walk, feet unbearable. My hands swell and knuckles red and swollen even worse. Sometimes I can't close my hands anymore than the size of an apple. My skin feels like something is crawling and I look and nothing there. Or, suddenly it feels like a bee is stinging me. Nothing is there. The list of weird stuff goes on and on. I have had dozens of tumors removed. I Hope the Meds fix me again so I can feel human and do some things normal people do. My Dr. Just prescribed another 21 days of Doxycycline. I will start them tomorrow. Wishing for relief.

Hopefully Healed that sounds awful! I am so sorry you are dealing with all this. I am not sure what testing you have had but a good book for you to read is Beyond Lyme Disease by Connie Strasheim. She is a Lyme patient also. I is a Lyme brain friendly book that explains all the reasons why we cannot get better. Hope you find some relief soon. There is a very good thread on detox at the top of the forum that you might want to read. As far as the cancer I don't have it but I have read books by Kris Carr. She is quite amazing I have to say! I don't agree with everything she says but she has not just survived but thrived with stage 4 liver cancer for over a decade! Hope this helps and you can find some relief soon!

Hopefully Healed, I had a ton of the same symptoms as you: swelling of the hands so bad that I couldn't even use a keyboard or make a fist, nerve pain, DEEP muscle and joint paint, the "crawlies" as I describe them. I've only been in treatment (this time) for a month and there has been a huge change! I can use a keyboard (which is probably why I'm posting so much:P), the "crawlies" have gone away and my swelling is down. I still have joint pain, muscle pain, fatigue and tummy trouble but that's improving. Have you considered a low inflammation diet? I cut out gluten, dairy, sugar, soy, artificial sweetners and only eat steroid free, antibiotic free meat. This has really helped with my systemic inflammation. Hope you feel better!

That's because this infection is very complex and becomes very individualized as it becomes chronic. It "uses" any weakness in the body to hide and attack.

Research on this set of infections is far behind the demands of patients for effective treatments and forums like this one are really good for those that are looking for someone with similar symptoms and experiences to get an idea of what to talk to their doctor about adding, doing or changing when they have hit a plateau or other issues.
