my doctor is 3 hours away right now in seattle. my doctor is very short with me, does not answer my questions, and has failed to explain even the basics to me. also, from reading all the forums, I also think my dr. may be overcharging me as well.
I just want one who is closer, and compassionate. someone who can understand what im going thru, especially since I may have passed it to my 2 yr old, my soulmate, and am also pregnant. I need to know my options, to understand my condition, and prepare for whats coming.

Hi misty-blue and welcome. I have a LLMD/ND that my daughter and I go to in Vancouver, WA. if that would be of interest to you. Not exactly close, but an option. There is a long wait to get in to see him, though. There's just a shortage of LLMDs in the PNW.

I have the name of one in the Seattle area too, if it's not the one you already have seen.

It looks like it would be about 2 hours to get to my doctor. Was your 3 hour trip to your doctor both ways or one way?

my trip is 3 hrs there, 3 hours back. my dr. said I probably have co-infections, but not to worry about it. not to worry about my son or spouse, but its almost impossible that I did not pass it to them. I shared that my entire family most likely has it (siblings) and the response was "oh well". plus every time I ask a question about symptoms, she tells me "google it". with over 400 bucks a visit, I shouldn't have to google simple questions she knows, or should know. plus, what is this stuff about cyst busters and abx not working for late stage lyme, and the cleanses and detoxes, I was not told about any of this.

Wow. She will lose a lot of Lyme patients! She seems to just be in it for the money.

I'd suggest that you read through the "New to Lyme" thread at the top of the page to learn more about Lyme and Co. and things you can do on your own to help with your healing.

I sure hope your whole family doesn't have it. Hang in there while you look for a different doctor. I wish you the best!
