Hello, everyone.
It's been awhile, but I hope you are all making progress. I am confused and worn out. I changed doctors a few weeks ago, and I'm on a new protocol which doesn't include any antibiotics. I am nowhere near done with treatment, but I was glad to be making a change to see someone who might be a little more thorough and do some more comprehensive testing. I'm now supposed to be taking BLT (for Lyme and Bartonella), parsley, ISO-Phos, Nattokinnase, Tox-Ease, and Artemisinin (for suspected Babesia).
So...I didn't see much happening either way for about
3 weeks. I only took half of what my doctor wanted me to take of the artemisinin, because my family went away and I just wasn't up for any surprise reactions. Last week, and the week before, I took the full dose, which is 500mg 2x a day for 3 days on and 4 days off. Well, I've felt much worse this week: vertigo, anxiety- going crazy feeling, twitchy, palps, inside ear pain, and major fatigue in my legs. But I cannot tell if it is from the artemisinin, or just from the Lyme and Bartonella coming back.
I should mention- I didn't take the BLT like I was supposed to because one of the possible reactions is a full-body rash, and I'm not up for that, either. One of the herbs in the tincture can cause it. So I guess I'm basically not treating Lyme or Bartonella, and only going after (possible) Babesia, and feeling worse.
I was getting massive pressure headaches for the past year, which everyone kept telling me was from Babesia. Well, they seemed to have really let up when I stopped the antibiotics. I thought it was interesting that they virtually disappeared over-night.
I'm just so confused about
what is happening. I know I probably need to get on something for the Lyme, if I continue to protest the BLT, but I don't see my doctor again for 2 weeks.
I've had this rocking vertigo for almost 2 years now. I'm still not working or driving. I can't go to stores or be on my feet for very long because of it, and I'm just worn out from all this. I'm worried I have some damage to the cerebellum or something real freaky from all this.
If you have any ideas or suggestions, please share!
