Sounds like you are on the right track, and it is good you have a knowledgeable doctor. Is that a Lyme Literate doctor or just your primary care doc?

Once you have a diagnosis, you'll be on your way to getting better!

I would say it is a Lyme Literate.. although that part I'm still learning about... He's the one that the minute I was referred to him by my psychiatrist after getting a SPECT scan he said you have a tick borne illness..and this was only after hearing my symptoms..He does integrative medicine but mentioned getting a LL doctor where I am so I was a little confused by that and why he wouldn't just continue to treat me going forward but I figured I would cross that bridge then..

He is planning on starting my treatment once the labs confirm the diagnosis.. He's treating the yeast in my intestines no he said he wanted to get ahold on that now... at the same time as the Lyme test he did a 24 hr urine test and found that my hormones were good, which previously the saliva hormone test showed my cortisol levels through the roof and he was not the one that ordered that test and told me he thought the urine one was more accurate and was planning on starting with Doxy after the labs came back.. However he also believes there is mold in my sinuses.. b/c right now I have been running a fever and have a horrible cough.. that just doesn't go away and he wanted me to use this B something spray but he has to make sure it's a mold colony first, so testing, testing, testing lol

Did that mean you agreed with what I was saying if it showed up,then most likely it's there?

I think the interesting way I figured out about Lyme is that I went to get a SPECT scan on my brain because I was being overmedicated by a psychiatrist I had seen for 5 years... and I just kept being given more meds...

And I work in a related field and I knew... I just knew I didn't have what they were telling me.. I knew I had overfocused ADD... only no one would listen... I was taking 6 different Psychiatric medications.. and I'm a 34 female.. it's amazing I could function.. but at the end of the May... I started drinking to sleep.. just doing things out of my character.. and blacking out... becoming very confused... among being frustrated... so I decided to go have this brain imaging done.... where they look at your brain... I showed NO.. i repeat NO mental illness... none... only ... wait for it... ADD... overfocused ADD... well this is what got the ball rolling.. and this place works with natural (vitamin) ways to help you.. and I was also telling him about the laundry list of symptoms which I will get to.. and he wanted me to see this integrative med doctor... well I'm on a LOT of vitamin supplements b/c I'm def in B,D, E, Iron, and I take several other things... but I told him... I had been to every doctor under the sun over the last 3 years and I just couldn't function like this anymore something was wrong with me.. I felt like it was Multiple Sclerosis... I went to a major hospital where they told me I was a depressed person and needed more anti depressants.. and that same doctor told me I just wanted an illness.. My current doctor held my hand and said ... NO you want to know what's wrong.. so you can fix this... to me that's a doctor...

So.. this has been going on since I was sixteen but gotten progressively worse:
Tremors in my hands
electric shocks down my right arm
extreme hand pain
flourescent lights (i.e. target walmart) cause me confusion
stumble over my words,
dizziness,
can't remember things,
Extreme fatigue
if anything cold touches me, I get hives-even have an Epi pen..
if I get hot.. like exercising my legs give out and I shake for hours.. get confused..
my heart rate is always 110-130
lower blood rate number is around 90-110
joint pain
right side is always cold
can't fall asleep
I can't wait up when I do sleep
I always feel like I've never slept
my teeth are deteriorating
hearing loss... and many more

Thanks Jeff... yes it is tempting... I must say.. I actually I want to do that now with the info I already have lol.... It makes me furious at how these doctors look at us like we are crazy... I am a well educated woman and they would talk to me like I knew nothing... and I would tell them... I know myself.. and something is not right...

I did get the Igenex kit in the mail today...

why is it that if Lyme is showing up they send off for another test?
