I have been feeling horrible for 2 months. I have had horrible headaches, neck pain, back pain and very stiff fingers. I'm also exhausted.

I'm a single mom of 3 and work full time and some days I'm in tears from being so tired and in pain. My dr sent me for routine test and my Lyme came back positive and then WB came back with band 41 Igg reactive.

At my dr appt today she acted like it was nothing and said she is not going to treat me and that it was probably nothing and that I have fibromyalgia! I'm very frustrated and scared! I can't keep feeling like this, it's worse every day!

Anyone have any advice? I'm in Delaware. Thanks!

Hi Mandie,

That is something not nothing, and the something is Lyme! No, that doctor can't treat you, and shouldn't: you need a Lyme specialist.

So start a new thread entitled, "Looking for Lyme Literate Doctor in Delaware". On of the members will give you a name for an ILADS affiliated doctor. You will want to enable the email option in your profile so members can send you the name of doctors.

Please do not settle for a diagnosis of fibromyalgia -- that is a description, not a diagnosis. You can and will get your health back with the proper treatment. It may seem expensive to go see an LLMD, but it is really worth it.

Glad you came here. You need to be your own health advocate!

I am so sorry you have gotten such a runaround. Don't go back to that dr. it's a waste of time! There is hope and there are many people here who are symptom free and living a normal life. I just want to encourage you to read the thread at the top of the forum. Detox is your best friend. I first experienced relief when I started doing colonics 2x weekly. I was horribly toxic and the Lyme and mold toxins were making me very ill. Coffee enemas are very good too, I had to get organic green coffee on Amazon because regular coffee was making me sick. I first collapsed just about a year ago and if I could go back I would have definitely done aggressive detox protocol right away. Hope this helps! I get a large box of disposable enemas on Amazon. Some people get a kit but I don't have the strength to clean it.

I'm so sorry for what you are going through!! But you have found a good place to come to learn! For starters, if you haven't yet, please do take the time to read through our "New to Lyme? Start here!" thread that sits at the top of the forum. It's packed with important information, symptom lists, detoxing suggestions and so much more.

As Achievinggrace has said, don't go back to that doctor for treatment for Lyme disease. You need a specialist called a LLMD (Lyme Literate Medical Doctor) that has been trained by ILADS (International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society) in order to get effective treatments. I don't have any LLMD's in my lists, but you should ask the rest of the group by posting as Achievinggrace said - start a new thread with the title "Need LLMD in _______, Delaware", that way if you are near another state line, others will be able to tell you who they see.

You will need to enable your email option so that you can get recommendations, as we don't mention our doctors names online to help protect them. They are being persecuted for giving us the treatments that work. You can enable your email option in your profile, under 'edit profile'. Be sure to click the submit button to actually save your preference.

You will want to find an ILADS (International Lyme And Associated Diseases Society) trained doctor, as ID Docs (Infectious Disease Doctors) believe Lyme is hard to catch and easy to treat, and don't believe in the reality of chronic Lyme. Hi Mandie,

I agree that you should find a Doctor that will take the time to listen and care for you the way that you need to be cared for. This should not be taken lightly. However,the good news is that there is hope and the right help can be found. Have you also been checked for a vitamin deficiency, such as vitamin D?

I certainly hope you can find an LLMD or LLND and won't have to see the doctor you went to again. All you need from her are the blood test results to take to your next doctor. I'm sorry you were mistreated by her. I often wonder what doctors like her would do if they got it.
