Is there any reason why I'd be a lot worse off emotionally the day after extreme physical exertion?
Had to do a pretty major hoof trim on my pony yesterday, and today I'm rather depressed and self-hateful. The last time this happened was the last time I did a lot of physical work. The whole hoof trimming thing is unavoidable, but it sure would be nice to not feel like this the day after!
Physically, I'm a bit tired and definitely need to rest. Not too sore, which is nice. I'd actually rather be crippled in pain instead of this emotional stuff.

Lots of physical exertion has an abx like effect on the bacteria due to the increased oxygen in the body and in the muscles. So you have more die off and that can create a herx. This is why Dr. Burrascano tells us to only exercise as tolerated.
So up your detoxing for a few days, and be careful. I know what you mean about
rather deal with the physical than the emotional stuff!! Me too!

I have a horse that when I am done working him,I Hate Him.Now I have loved, worked with, and pretty much made a living with horses, what is it?Could it be the physical work causing a die off?But is a die off good or bad?Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

The die off is what we are hoping for, only not too much all at once. Yes, physical activity increases the oxygen in our blood and in our muscles, and oxygen kills bacteria - especially the one we are all concerned with here - Lyme.
A heavy workout (for you, not the horse, although it can go both ways some days!) can cause herxing, and too much herxing or herxing that lasts "too long" (this is different for each person) can be dangerous, so we need to limit how much herxing is allowed.
Herxing badly takes the body's attention off of healing and puts it over on dealing with the herxing and detoxing that is necessary to deal with the herx. So it can slow down healing as well, which is another reason to keep herxing at a minimum.
With that being said though - I just got done with (I hope, I hope, I hope!!!) 3 weeks of herxing after starting my Lyme treatment. It wasn't severe, I just felt fluish and icky with meningitis type pain and a few other things, so I chose to ride it out. Although I would have changed things had it continued much longer, knowing that I want my body to concentrate on healing, not dealing with toxins solely.

LOL! I hope I helped!! And thank you. I did neglect to mention that I didn't just "ride it out" (the herx) - I was detoxing like crazy trying to catch up with the toxins!!! And I think I've finally made it!!
(I hope, I hope, I hope!!!)
