Some LLMD have no mercy on people

I am soooo pissed off.. Those LLMD make fortune out of our sickness .. I understand they don't take insurance trying to avoid hassle with insurance companies but I mean pleaseeee you are a doctor not a businessman ... Please have mercy on us... HAVE MERCY IN SICK POOR PEOPLE.
I called three offices one charges 750, another 550, another 1000 !!!!

I mean OMG. My jaw dropped when I heard that ... So does that mean that unwealthy, not rich people should DIE alone soon..???

I am crying right now from anger and resentment ..

Those doctors don't get it until THEY GET it, and they become desperate for help and have no money ...

I mean ok charge out of pocket, but reasonably ...!!!

Please I need some words of support and hope ..

Will I get better without these expensive treatment and visits ?

My toddler is showing symptoms and my heart is breaking..

I didn't even start anything for me, how can I manage with her ..

There is one llmd who take insurance but heard he is not good with complicated cases, should I go still with that as being better than nothing ?

Yep, i have cancelled two appts. With my LLMD. Switched to herbs as this doc and his meds were costing me too much monthly. I will still see him, but not just yet.

I am still not sure she got it but she is having rash similar to mine ..
I am also suspecting that she got it from drinking from my straw without my notice .. By the time I saw her she had already sucked a good deal and I felt knots in my stomach after that cause I was afraid about her getting sick with what I have if it was contagious .. She was 9 months and now she us 18 months ..
Unless I was infected when pregnant which I doubt ...

My boy is acting normal. Very active, always running. But he has developed these dark circles under his eyes and his bones seem to "rub" and make a popping sound, just like mine. I took him to a pediatric ID doctor, who did not believe me when i told her that i have lyme. She said that it was impossible. I insisted on a tick borne disease test and she did bartonella (negative), not lyme as she thought that i was being paranoid. But only we know how invisible and real these bacteria can be.

The prices you listed, are they for every visit, or just your first? My first appointment was extremely expensive (over 1K), but 90% of that was testing. It was also a 5 hour appointment (yes, 5 hours lol). From there my appointments go down to under $200 once a month and I'm sometimes in his office for well over an hour.

No doubt that there are some dubious doctors out there capitalizing on this, but I don't think it's fair to lump all LLMD's into the money hungry business man category . A lot of these doctors put their license on the line treating us in contradiction to what the CDC says is acceptable. If you want to place blame on the high price and lack of insurance support for treating lyme, that starts well above the LLMD.

It is extremely difficult to go through this and I can certainly empathize with you. Adding in financial to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual difficulties that come with this dumb bug has been enough to make me nearly crack several times (and may finally make me crack in the near future - it wouldn't take much more). I hope you can find a good solution. Just keep researching different treatment options and looking at different LLMD's until you find the one that works for you. It's so hard to make everything work and I know how you feel right now. I hope you find a solution very soon.
