Another member on here - Delmar- has a young son that was just diagnosed with MRSA and it's possible that he has congenital Lyme as well. You can find the thread here:
www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=30&m=3198899
Near the bottom of the 1st page is where she finds out that he was diagnosed with MRSA and the discussion goes into your area of expertise - not mine!
Would you please get in contact with Delmar and help in whatever wondrous ways you help? Thank you so very much - again!!!

Quite a few of the children on the ACN PANS/PANDAS/Lyme are suspected to have congenital lyme. In our case it was lab identified lyme and bartonella (IND lyme and positive bartonella through Igenex) and clinically diagnosed babesia.
I have never been tested, but exhibited many physical and neurological symptoms of bartonella and am also improving on the combination Buhner protocols for babesia and bartonella.
We have never dealt with MRSA, but compromised immune systems would be at greater risk of acquiring and having trouble getting rid of the infection.
Buhner's book:
Herbal Antibiotics, 2nd Edition: Natural Alternatives for Treating Drug-resistant Bacteria
has several sections on treating resistant staph aureus at different infections sites (skin, blood, lung).
Delmar can contact me through my e-mail here (I just reactivated it), or through the Personal Messanger on the ACN site if she choses to join and has specific questions, or I can try to answer them here so everyone can see the answers.
There is a huge amount of information on lyme and the autoimmune brain reactions it and other infections can cause in children. Everything we have been though is logged in the archives of the ACN forum if she searches my posts (I post as rowingmom there as well).
