Are you taking lots of probiotics? One of my favorites is kefir due to the very large array of strains of probiotics that it contains - it could very well help any intestinal issues. Otherwise you need to find a probiotic with as many different strains as possible and take large amount of them - 50,000 units isn't out of range at all.
JohnRed,
Any binders (activated charcoal, bentonite clay, cholestyramine and others) will bind to whatever is near it - meds, toxins, food - and usher it out of the body. By taking them 2 hours after and 2 hours before any food, medicines, medicinal teas or tinctures,or any other things that you need in your body will keep that from happening. Essentially you need a 4 hour block of time that you are not eating or taking any thing and you take the binder in the middle of that time period. And you have to drink a ton of water to help avoid constipation.
I take my activated charcoal in the middle of the night when I make my bathroom run. I have it all set up in the bathroom to take every night. It's like clockwork for me, so I never miss a dose doing it this way.
