Well, Buhner says it's for Babesia, but I use it to do battle with Lyme disease. It's also known as sweet wormwood, and other names like sweet annie. Most sites say that it's effective for malaria (which is why it's good for Babesia) and some state that it's helpful for inflammation.

Yes, it has the potential to make you have a herx-like reaction ion my opinion, although I could be wrong on this.
