I take them and no it's not counteractive .... it actually helps... my main doctor.. who I wish I could keep as my Lyme doc.. he was the one that pinpointed my Lyme with nothing more than me saying a few symptoms.. he told me that it's generally what helps keep us "going"... and honestly... I was stubborn and didn't believe him... now I am truly ADD because I have had a SPECT scan and have seen that I have this... but one day I was at work and had not taken my meds... I have only been on Concerta for a few years and I've had fatigue for a while... but it has gotten much worse over the years... well the day that I forgot to take that Concerta.... OMG I had to leave work to go get it because I couldn't keep my eyes open... I was shocked... b/c in my mind I thought... Oh he's just saying that... or that I'm sure it helps me have more energy but it wouldn't make me literally fall asleep... let me tell you.... I was SHOCKED... and I'm not one that wants to be on those types of meds.. but.. he did say that is was safe to take to essentially use to help get through the day.. although I remember his saying that there was a vitamin to help but I can't remember what it was... he did have me switch a lot of things to vitamins but that one I kept..
