Anyone, experiences with IV ABX???

Hi all,

I am thinking of having a course of IV rocephin/ceftriaxone for my yersinia and borrelia.
Did anyone have this? What was the experience? I mean, can I count with severe herxing? What it would look like?
I have severe weird headaches, and I am afraid if this would be increased, it could go up to meningitis during a herx. Is it possible? Is there a "dangerous" herx?

Second question would be, what is the difference between rocephin, and ceftriaxone - in effecciancy?

I've just finished up IV roccphin and IV clindamycin. I herxed for the 1st few weeks but no worse than Oral ABX. After my initial herx I started to feel better and feel the IV's are what helped me turn the corner. Not sure of the answers to your other questions but best of luck on what you decide.

Did you get the IV every day? For me it has been prescribed only for weekdays. It sounds weird...

Ceftriaxone I just the generic version of Rocephin

I first did 2 gr one time per day, 7 days a week. Then changed to 2 gr twice a day for 4 days on and three days off. I chose Tuesday thu Friday an took long weekend off of IV tether.

My LLMD told me to expect the worse herx on week 4. But it was mild and un-eventful.

I hope your are also taking Actigol to protect your gall bladder.
