Razzle, At one point, I did test positive for an immunoglobulin deficiency, and used IVIG, well, actually, it was an infusion, so the plasma went under the skin.
Then, I got really tired of doing it, plus, was afraid of using plasma from the blood supply, so I started Xymogen, and it worked really well, bc I tested in the normal range.
Then, Xymogen upped their price, and stopped selling their product commercially.
Now, I use Transfer Factor. Meanwhile, even when I was in the "normal" range, I got an infected thumb and then an infected finger. All I had on my thumb was a tiny speck in the cuticle, and it got massively infected and required surgery, and the removal of the nail.
I treated the finger myself, with soaks, garlic oil, etc.
I kept getting colds, and then worse, about three times a month.
I'm going to get my immunoglobulin tested again.
The IGIV is too expensive anyway. My health insurance only pays a teeny part of it.
My ND told me to get elderberry syrup. It seems pretty worthless though.
I swear, sometimes I wish it were all over, were it not for my dogs, the sounds of the birds singing, the view from my deck, reading, etc.
Sometimes I ask God either to make me better or to let me go, but nothing happens!!
I'm so tired of colds, asthma, diarrhea, nausea, sweats and chills, fevers, and HERXING.
GRRRRRR.
