Does anyone have experience with Rocephin IM treatments for Lyme disease??? I did the IV two years ago which worked for me but this time I am trying IM...daily injections. Curious if anyone has had success. I have Lyme, Babesia and Bartonella. Taking Rocephin, Doxycycline and Mepron. blush

A friend of mine does them.

I don't remember hearing any rave reviews, but she is really sick.

Can I ask why rocephin, and why not ceftriaxone? I will start it in a week or so.

Rocephin & Ceftriaxone is the same medication. The pharmacy just uses one as the generic same. I've done the shots for almost a month daily. They are definitely helping me. Have you found any improvements yet?

Is it only 1 injection a day? I thought the reason that IV is preferred is because IM requires multiple injections daily.

I am doing 1 injection per day...it's 1 gram. I was going to do 2 grams but it would need to be split up into two syringes and my body can't handle that much. The 1 gram seems to be working for me combined with Doxy and Mepron.
