Constant Herpes outbreaks

Anyone else have constant herpes outbreaks since their Lyme started? I have a major outbreak once every 1-2 months, with a swollen lip and a scab. But most of the time my lip is a little swollen, i have white sores inside the mouth and so on. It seems to never really cease. If it wasn't contagious i wouldn't worry about it that much.

Does anyone else have this? How do you manage it? If you had it what did you do to make it stop?

L-lysine always brings my herpes attacks under control fairly quickly. I start with a dose of 3,000 mgs - broke up into 3 doses, and then usually can lower it down withing just two weeks. Although, I have found that I'm having to stay on it this time.

I already take higher doses of Vitamin C.

Thank you for all your responses. I tried Lysine for a few months, but it didn't seem to help. As for Valtrex, i never tried any drugs for that, cause i didn't want to drink meds. But if this keeps on happening, i'll probably will need to take them.

Another thing i noticed is that when i started taking a detox supplement about a month ago, the herpes outbreaks became much more frequent and all over my mouth. Does that mean that the detoxication is working and that the virus is leaving my body? But since we can't get rid of herpes, will this keep on happening? Or will it just stop and i won't have any outbreaks anymore? I also feel a lot less Lyme symptoms and more days when i feel completely cured.
