need help finding LLMD in Charlotte

I am new to Lyme's but certainly not new to the symptoms. I think I may have been dealing with this for a long time and just now discovering more about it. Any tips on how to get started with a diagnosis? Do I need to go through my regular doctor or is it better to go straight to a specialist? I had a blood test done two years ago but it was negative and so we just dismissed the idea I might have Lyme's.

You should make an appt. with a LLMD as soon as possible.

If you want to be tested prior to seeing your LLMD, then do a test through Igenex labs in California. The kit needs to be ordered, but your regular Dr. can sign the lab request and you can then have the blood drawn and sent to Igenex.

The results will be available for your first LLMD appt.
He/she will diagnose you based on your history, whether you remember a tick bite and have a rash, your symptoms, and lastly use the test for confirmation.

In the meantime you can prepare your body for healing...by starting detoxing. Please take a look at the thread at the top of the page titled: "New to Lyme? Start Here". It has many options for detoxing. The epsom salt baths and drinking lots of water with lemon are two simple ones to start with.
