I read a post awhile back (you commenting on someone else's post, I think) that you did something that helped your knee pain dramatically...? Some type of injection I thought...? Can you share what you did, and what your sx were when you decided to try it?

I'm not making this up... I hope...!? ;)

My knee pain is beginning to drive me mad.

Hi Delmar...

For me the knee thing was mostly a combination of the infection, and also herxing from the infection. It did get better. For me my knees were BAD! Well I had pain walking, and I would have a difficult time walking up stairs. They were in pain and sore.

Dr.K said in an interview with Dr.Mercola (not a lyme literate doctor so I hope I can mention his name on this forum). That just 1 or 2 prozolone injections and the infections are pretty much cleared from the knee.

So I had some ongoing issues and decided to try it. And the prozolone (which is an injection of ozone) does have some bite to it. And my knee was actually worse for about a week after. My doc who did it said it could take 4 weeks to see the benefits. At first I thought omg what did I do! Lol. But then later i was like well my knee is feeling better.

But I know you are taking the medications so it could be a herx.

So if it is bad you can try the proZolone injections... Or you can try a wait and see approach with your abx. The proZolone injections were a bit pricey... But Ya one or two injections and the joint should pretty much be sterile.

Sorry to hear about the knee pain Delmar. :( You could also try making an herbal topical ointment and see if that helps. I hear a lot about capascin (spelling?) creams really alleviating pain. Hope you feel better soon!
