I found short mini meditation moments helped me. Just stop what you are doing, breathe and let yourself realize that these are ideas or feelings that are coming to you, not part of you. Separating yourself from these ideas and feelings diminishes them and loosens the hold they have on you.
Then focus on something happy and positive or just something interesting. You can even use some kind of mantra or inspirational saying to keep yourself on track.
Yoga helps a lot too, so you can relax your mind as you relax your body.
And detoxing helps, too.
