My AST came in at 43 (normal is 10-40) and my ALT came in at 82 (normal is 9-56). From what I have read, this is hardly a mild increase in levels, and I am thinking not to modify any abx dosages. Anyone have similar readings or insight at all?

Doxycycline caused my AST and ALT levels to elevate in a similar manner. My understanding is that concern is warranted if the result is 5 times the high end of the range (or more).
Tylenol can cause elevated readings as can alcohol consumption.

My ALT levels just came back at 107, which I guess is high enough that my doctor is ordering a liver ultrasound.

As someone with chronic Hep B, I can tell you those are considered "mildly elevated"
You're on meds, so yes, your liver enzymes will elevate.
Take some milk thistle and detox a bit to help out.

Ummm....My primary doctor ordered a liver ultrasound after my ALT came back at 66 (0-32) and my
AST at 52 (0-40). This was after I had taken 3 wks. of doxycycline.
My levels were back to normal when I was on amoxicillin.
The next test should be interesting now that I'm back on doxycycline lol
