need your detox suggestions. time to pull out the big guns.

I'm making the trek to the supplement store and my doctor office. Everything I've been doing is to no avail. I feel worse everyday and I need to turn this around.

I'm totally desperate and panicking. I don't know if it's herxing a flare or what. I stopped the antibiotics and now I feel worse than I ever have. I just don't get it.

I can't function. I keep having fits of anger. I'm not acting on it thank god but it's kind of scary. It's just not like me. I stayed in bed all day yesterday with my eyes closed. I was in and out of sleeping. Everything hurts. No energy. I feel like I'm going to pass out every time I stand up. My muscles get so tense they are shaking. I'm rashy. Twitchy. Foggy. Brain dead. Intense Pain everywhere. Air hunger. Swollen face. I'm just kind of out of it. My stomach feels terrible. My jaw is numb and.. weird feeling. I can't see for anything. My pupils are different sizes.

So sorry about your dog. I hope you find her sefe and sound. I know it is a terrible feeling, not knowing. But dogs have a great survival instinct....hope she comes home.😥

I was just going to say that it's possible for a person to detox too much at once too! Remember, when we detox, we are coaxing the toxins out of their hiding places (skin, muscles, bones, organs) and into the blood stream, which is what causes herxing - the toxins being in the blood stream where they can overwhelm the body - but if they stay in the tissues & joints, we don't/can't heal. So it must be a controlled amount of toxins being released at any point in time.

When I started my treatment again when I got reinfected, I had to keep ramping up my detoxing until I discovered the point at which I was finally detoxing enough, but not too much - but that took me 3 weeks. Now I'm backing it back down - just a touch, so that I don't stay in that position of continually herxing, yet I am still getting symptom relief that is continuing to improve. Not an easy balance to find the first time around!!

So take a good look at what all you are doing to detox, could it be too much?

Yep - a bit of a catch 22, until you find your own "sweet spot" of detoxing.

For me my first efforts of doing these daily detox things was just barely keeping my head above water as far as herxing goes for the first three weeks:
Dry skin brushing
2 - 3 quarts of lemon water
Epsom salt/peroxide foot soaks (full body soaks are too much for me)
oil pulling
Activated charcoal
ALA
Vitamin C

Plus my treatment and the supplements.

Now, however, I have had to lower things back down:
Foot soaks 3 - 4 times a week
dry skin brushing 3 - 4 times a week
and I have completely stopped the activated charcoal, but to be honest it was due to my intestines going into fits, not because it was too much detoxing for me.... I don't think.

Forgive me for not remembering, but have you had the gene testing to see if you have the ones that make it harder for the body to detox? I'm constantly amazed at how many people that have Lyme have those gene mutations, and it would explain why you are having such difficulties.

She still isn't home :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:( I've been crying. I haven't seen one of my friends faces in over 9 weeks now. Literally jot one person has come to see me. But my dog is there every single day. Snuggling me letting me use her to stand up and accompanying me on the short walk to the mailbox everyday. My son doesn't want to go to sleep because he is so used of her being there to lay with him.

Totally devastated. I hate this feeling of not knowing whether she is OK or not.

Did you put up signs? Was she missing from your house or yard? Have you told all the neighbors? Advertised in the newspapers? Looked in all the places she usually goes?

I hope you find your pup - mine are priceless to me and my healing.

ALA - Alpha lipoic acid. It's a precursor to glutathione, a substance that helps us to detox, only it's a lot cheaper than getting an IV for glutathione - the only way it's truly effective. Dr. Horowitz recommends it - although I started using it before he came out with his recommendations.

Yes, for me it helps out a lot with nerve pain - likely due to having Neuro Lyme.

My best friend is home!!!!!! I've never been so happy to have insomnia but I found her on our front porch at 1 in the morning!!!!!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!! Thanks for all the prayers! It worked! I'm getting her a tracking collar today. Our property is too big to find a lost dog on. I'm sooooooo sooooo so so so so so happy!!! She is sore and cold and skinny but she will be just fine :)

I didn't take any of my supplements yesterday and I woke up today in a very grumpy mood because I was up all night peeing. But other than that I feel a heck of a lot better!! I think my body just needs a break. I'm only going to drink tea and take the glutathione. I hope the kind I have is good?! I'll check out the link you put up traveler.

I got the BEG spray and did my 3 doses yesterday. It feels like I'm putting boiling acid in my throat. My nose burns a little but my throat is tore up from it. I think it might take a while to get used to :(. I have a big white spot on the back of my throat not sure when that showed up but I'm sure it's why it's hurting so bad. It takes my voice away for about a half hour and I can't even swallow my own spit due to pain. But hey, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Nothing can get me down today now that my pup is back!!

Regarding the BEG spray: If it's bothering your throat that much, shouldn't you back off? It sounds like it is causing harm.

I was using an intranasal glutathione spray rx $90 and, wow, did it burn my nose.
Even drew blood when I kept using it thinking, "It's going to help me. It's going to help me."
(and nope, it didn't work, neither did the oral lipo glutathione $90 on Dr Marty Ross's website)
It didn't help me & all I did was give my poor body another thing to heal.
The point i am making is- don't force it.
If it's burning that's not a good sign.

I am glad your dog is home.
I am hoping you find a family member or someone nearby for moral support.
