Horrible Herx from H--

I just can't stand it.

I feel so bummed out and so sick.

I don't even want to detox.

I'm down on myself too; yes, I know--the last two are "no nos."

I stopped my hooch for now bc I'm trying to take Lauricidin.

But I'll have to start it again tomorrow so I don't get those awful Babs symptoms.

I wish some kind doctor could come along and give me a nice shot that would just put me under for awhile.

The detoxing is taking too much time out of my day (as is sleeping), and my house really, really is a wreck.

I've noticed that there are a lot of new people on the forum, which is great, but does that mean all the people who used to post got well? Should I "accept" that I might truly not get better?

I had EBV in the 1980s, and that started a slow downhill slide. However, I still did tons of stuff, went hiking, went to grad. school, etc. etc. I think I had my first Lyme infection in the 1990s, don't remember the year.

Was dxed with breast cancer in 2000, got through treatment, and have been in remission since.

I started to get really, really sick in 2001.

Then, March of 2013, I got reinfected, with a massive bull's-eye rash.

So, I'd say I've been pretty sick since late 1990s, but infected in 1980s, and possibly before.

Do not give up. I was assaulted when I was little, had an eating disorder as a teen. Became ill with all types of stomach ache, food intolerances and other symptoms which I now think are probably related to Lyme. Suffered with headaches and reactions to all sorts of food. Then had a heart attack at 39 yrs old. Came out of the blue -no heart condition but had a blood clot that went to my heart (and those are just the highlights). You know there are times when I would get so down but then I remember Mother Theresa who said when addressing someone who mentioned God only gives us as much as we can handle- and she responded, "I wish he didn't trust me so much!"

I think of us. We have all been through so much and then I realize I have become a much more empathetic and understanding person since I have been through all of these trials. It has humbled me so much. Nothing is more humbling than having no control over your body. Thenaft Sebring annoyed for a while I realize that I am so glad God changed me like this. I am much more likeable than when I didn't understand other people's pain, didn't know what it was like having nothing to lose. it puts what is important in life in to perspective. I am grateful for what I have gone through and know that even though it was painful- it was necessary.

I have no doubt we will come out better and stronger from this!!

And Jen,

I realize, of course, that an assault is horrific.

My neighbor is abused by his father. It's awful. I've reported him and reported him, but nothing has happened.

If you beat an eating disorder, I'll bet you can beat Lyme. I've known people with eating disorders, and they're very hard to get rid of (the eating disorders). Those are very addictive behaviors.

I'm glad you have hope.

And let's not forget about your digestive disorders that make it hard for you to tolerate treatments!! That's a huge issue!

How are things going with your new doc? Is she still helping? Have you contacted her and told her what's going on? If so, what did she have to say?

You are a strong woman, Margaret, and you will make it through this too. And since I also know you off this forum - no, I really don't believe you will just stay sick the rest of your life, I think you have hit a rough patch. Hang on tight!
