I peed my pants!

I am drinking lots of water but this has never happened before. I hope this is a "one off" and I haven't become incontinent this far into my treatment.

I might have to buy some depends. blush

Well, this is possibly due to yet again, muscle loss. One more fun thing I deal with now.

Not fun. But, not permanent. ;)

hoooboy. I have experienced that. For awhile there I felt I had no muscle control. Not fun.

I have never had a issue with my bladder but oh boy I have been running to port a potties, using public rest rooms um and yes having to make an emergency pit stop in th bushes on occasion. Never in my life has my bladder been like this. So I'm with you on that one!

I hate using public toilets - by the time I get the toilet paper and wipe the seat and get my pants down... well I haven't had an accident yet... But it's been close. Thank goodness I wasn't downtown today.

salt helps :) but yeah bladder issues was one of my symptoms too and I'm a guy.

This happens to me :( they say it's interstitial cystitis. Really embarrassing

Yes, this is generally caused by interstitial cystitis - something that I get to deal with a lot too! I have to use those pads for urinary incontinence - but it's like when I was menstruating, so not too bad.

The pee in the pants thing has happened to me a number of times, but only at home, thank goodness.

My gynecologist surprised me by saying it was a neurological complication of Lyme.

I have problems on the other end too, not incontinence, but just a complete and total lack of urge. I have to use suppositories.

I've had interstitial cystitis, and it was successfully treated by a drug called Elmiron, and then it went away.

However, since it's on my records, all my doctors keep saying it's the interstitial cystitis causing urinary incontinence. I never peed my pants when I had the IC; I had completely different symptoms, namely, excruciating pain. Doctors never seem to believe that ANYTHING can be caused by Lyme. The gynecologist was an exception.

Urinary incontinence is most likely a neurological complication of Lyme.

The worst issue for me, is that when things get really bad, (but only when they are really bad), it happens to me in bed, in my sleep.

I figure the interstitial cystitis is a symptom of lyme. I hope it goes away with treatment like everything else. One time I went no. 2 in the car with my son and my fiance. Talk about embarrassing. I had the throw my jeans away in a public restroom at a park clean up as well as I could and drive 3 hours home without even hnderwear. I had a sweater tied around my waist. I still can't live that Down. It was about 6 weeks after my c section. I didn't have a lyme diagnosis then

Oh no, IHL!! That would have been very embarrassing! I have so much constipation when I have Lyme that that issue isn't something I have to worry about fortunately!

It happened so fast. There was no warning. I didn't leave my house for at least 2 months after. It happened once more like 7 months ago. Again in the stupid car. It was just my son that time and I was only 10 minutes from home. I missed our appointment but who cares. I never told anyone. Really horrible.. I never even told a doctor..
