omg. Courtney—amazing info. Although I am also having a foggy night and I didn't understand most of it. But I could understand enough to know that it's explaining why I get these weird oval shaped lesions.

But what I don't understand… and this might be a stupid question… but how can they know all this about Bart but we can't get tested, diagnosed or treated by most of the medical industry. It infuriates me.

I really hate abx, but i am going to continue for now, the Doc has me on them until January.
Mike, i have read Buhners books, and planned to follow his protocol when I'm done with abx, i am taking herbals along with them. I notice you stopped abx and are following herbal method, how is that working for you?

You all need to be aware of a few things about the person behind this website. He comes on this forum - much too much- to recruit people to do 'his' protocol. He put it together from several different places - like many of us do, only we don't call it our protocol and try to promote it.

There have been a handful of people from this forum that have tried it and have had troubles for a number of reasons, one is that the protocol moves too fast, not allowing the body time to detox or deal with all of the die off.

When asked for documentation on anything, the person who 'created' this protocol, gets very defensive and attacks the person asking. Many of us here have been abused by this guy, including myself - he literally stalked me online - simply because he didn't believe I could have healed like I did and because I'm a Mod who has to enforce the rules here that he likes to continually break.

I wont' go into it all, but please do be careful if you get involved with this person, or if you want to use this protocol. It's not proven (he admitted to Opugirl and I that he took 2 weeks to put this together) and he is a very aggressive and angry person. Possibly is still dealing with his own Bart or Lyme rage. Please use caution.

Yea, I've got to say - we've had more then our fair dealings with this protocol and on the website it says that the author is a 'researcher.' He is NOT and has NO background in scientific research NOR medicine aside from reading articles.

Other members have tried this and come back and said that it has not worked and that this person became verbally abusive when they tried to ask why the protocol wasn't working to gain insight if there was something else they could have.

There are certainly good things in it...but most of that has been adapted from other well known protocols.

Just be highly cautious and advised if you are interested in that protocol....

Honestly, all the antibiotics do worry me and I refuse to take longer than a year. The reason I want to give Rifampin a chance was because I did have a big reaction because I believe it *hit something*. I was only on for 4 days and had to stop because it messed with my breathing BUT I keep looking back and remembered the full body tremors I was having had completely stopped among a couple other things subsided...just from 4 days! Im hoping since Im starting slow in the beginning this time and can just push through the helluva herx and see the improvement following. {Prayers & Fingers crossed}

I figured you werent out of the woods 'yet' but hey sounds like you've been on the right path. Actually, WOW....all that ^^^ is gone?!!? Thats even better than I thought! That carafe of wine will be well deserved for sure ;-)

Also, H-E-Double hockey sticks might be breaking loose for me this week too...so we may have to meet up for a whine session on the forum!

That is really good news too then Mike. I remember us discussing the chondrotitis(sp?) like feeling/symptoms you were experiencing and that one really bothered you...so Im glad to hear that has let up some as well! To be honest, I may end up taking a page or two from your book then with the herbals if you dont mind! Has all or most of your herbal treatment been stemmed from the Buhner protocol?


Traveler, Its funny because you mentioned the antibiotics/IV scared you...well Im intimidated by the herbal stuff to be honest!! Only because lack of knowledge though. Crazy how it varies with 'comfort zones'. I would not know where to begin with the "tinctures" and all that stuff! Like I said to Mike though above, I may end up going to the other side with you guys and the herbs for treatment eventually. I hope the abx do the trick....buuuutt....I may need some guidance with the herbs in the future if ya'll dont mind!


Callmedori, yes I remember reading your post a couple weeks ago where you referred to the movie with "keep swimming" in relation to what we are going through with this illness....LoVVVeD That! :) It stuck in my head. I wonder is it on Netflix right now, I think Im going to check here in a bit!

Happyjo - I have to go move more firewood inside right now - before it starts to snow! - but would you send me an email? I have some more information that you can use to help your brother - and keep reminding him that you love him and that there is hope for healing even from this! I know of one gal that is now healed.
