Ok, so I think Andrew is really getting sick of the lyme diet. I keep him limited, but not totally strict as there is no way as a 16 year old, he's going for it.
Now as he takes breaks from the computer ( I guess he is starting to get a bit better) he heads for pretzels or an english muffin (wheat).
I have lately met several people who had lyme in the 90's and were hit hard with meds and claim they have been well since - and there is no way they are on a lyme diet!
So, should I worry? Like I have no idea in 2 years if and when he goes to college, what he will eat and if he will "behave".
I guess it's really not up to me, I can only do my best for him and really it's his life.
To me it was critical when the psych problems were out of control and destroying the family and house, but now it's just not doing school work and 24/7 on the computer and a couple holes in the dining room wall when we try to control the computer.
So... I guess I should ease up on the food?
What is a mom to do? Have had a house of 6 people on a lyme diet - for the most part, 5 cheat, but not a whole lot....
I just can't figure out how or why so many lyme people are ok and not on strict diet....
PS, thank you all for being here for me. Going this alone with him and little family support pushed me to the end a couple of weeks ago and again this morning. I have really not wanted to be walking the face of this earth anymore. So tired and beaten down...
