Could this be a post lyme?

I will try to keep a story short so you could give me your opinion. So, early April this year I was bitter by a tick. Just a ten days later started headaches, followed by a muscles and joint aches. 18 days after a bite I started to take 200mg of doxy for a month but it didnt do much, joint pain got a lot worse, same for the muscles. In june I got positive western blot and started IV cefriaxon for 14 days and 45 days of doxy followed by various antibiotics (cedax, azithromicin, amoxycilin, IM extenciline). I was on all those until November, when my LLMD said that should be enough for me. What was left are muscles twitching and migrating joint aches, sometimes in my legs, feet or hands, but it it totally bearable and not the whole time. What do you think? Should I insist on continuing with therapy or is my doctor right, that now my joints need to heal and muscles twitches could even stay?

He is ILADS member actually, but he believes that some symptoms linger after the spirochete is gone, and I am not so sure about it. I have already bought samento and banderol and Im using 30 drops of both per day (had no herx or any reaction on those)

That is exactly what I am trying to do, listen to my inner voice, and there are some days when I feel great without any symptoms and then comes a day when my knees and feet ache real bad. Thats why Im confused, maybe there was really some damage done to my joints and body so now its healing and borelia is gone. But it could be exactly the borelia that is still causing those problems.

And I am getting IM extencilline shots every 15 days for two months, my LLMD says that should be enough to wipe if theres any bacteria left.

Between the extencilline, samento and banderol, the symptoms you are experiencing could actually be a herxheimer reaction.

Have you had any conversations with your present LLMD about co-infections? If not, I would look for a new LLMD. I treated for 1 year with my first LLMD, then switched to get more aggressive treatment for Babs and Bart. If these are not treated and knocked down, Lyme can never be effectively treated.

I went on IV for 16 months straight for Lyme while changing between Bart and Babs protocols. It took about ten months to have joint pain and stiffness improve. After stopping IV I thought I had a mepron resistant strain of Babs and started to mix in Babs herbals like cryptolepis and sida acuta.

After that I went back to one more Bart ABX protocol with mino, plaquenil and Rifampin and made more progress to 80% well. Still fighting for that last 20% after almost five years.

Hang in there, finding the right ABX and/or Herbal protocol is challenging, maybe a new LLMD may find another path to wellness.
