Sonne, so sorry that you are going through this. While infected and before I was diagnosed, I had elevated heart rate and higher than normal blood pressure. I was put on beta blockers by my cardiologist for about 6 months. During this time I also wore and event monitor for a month.
They found that I sometimes skip a heartbeat (200 times a month) and was told that this is normal for some people. As for the other stuff, my cardiologist believes that the blood pressure and elevated heart rate were due to my anxiety from all the new symptoms that I was experiencing.
After 6 months I took myself off of the beta blockers and my blood pressure and heart rate have been normal since.
You should look into wearing an event monitor for a month to make sure that your heart is working optimally. if anything serious happens while wearing it, it will automatically call the monitor company and they in turn will call you or 911 if needed.
