My symptoms flare every evening...and I also call it the "witching hour"
I hate it too - my nerve pain ramps up and my shivers/chills along with a few more symptoms.

Yep. I often feel absolutely restless at night. Jittery and anxious. Neck pain is worst at night, though is pretty steady throughout the day. I don't have any daytime anxiety, but every night as bedtime approaches it sets in with the restless, irritable feeling. Probably mostly in anticipation of not sleeping.
I will say, I started on Gabapentin (Neurontin) which has drastically improved my ability to get to and remain in delta-wave sleep so that has really helped improve the nighttime anxiety knowing I won't spend 2-5 hours awake. It is an OFF-label use for this medication and is actually an anticonvulsant and for neurologic pain that can make people feel lousy and drowsy, so I caution its use, but for me it has been really effective with sleep and somewhat effective in alleviating my morning plantar fasciitis (which the LLMD thinks is bartonella nerve inflammation/damage, not plantar fasciitis) and I'm not experiencing the adverse reactions so far - 5 weeks in. First night I took I woke and almost cried in joy that I had only woken briefly a couple times. Can't remember the last time I basically slept through the night and woke up refreshed. Anyway, just a thought for anyone that is sleeping miserably or having to use habit-forming meds to sleep.

I always felt better in the evening, say around 5 or 6pm, the alien left my body but then by morning I had to drag myself out of bed, bad brain fog and then took me a few hours to even get it together to be able to go to work.
Weird how it affects everybody different.
