Hi Folks.
I'm new to the Forum. I was researching something else and one of these Lyme posts came up. I'd like to tell the group that I had Lyme for years. I was mis-diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Neuropathy, Chronic Fatigue…you know the story. I accidentally changed doctors and thankfully, ended up with an LLD who correctly diagnosed Lyme. By that time the brain fog was crippling, and I was in constant debilitating pain. The neuropathy in my hands and feet along with the extreme fatigue left me incapable of doing very much.
I was on the antibiotic protocol for two years and it helped a lot. Then my LLD suggested the Cowden Protocol. I was on it for eight months and it completely reversed all my symptoms. I was also sleeping on a Biomat (and I still am) and I have to re-take Cowden's months 7-9 every year or so. Apparently you can beat Lyme but you can't really rid your body of it entirely…so my symptoms start to creep back up on me.
The most difficult part for me was the amount of water you're required to drink every day. Three quarts is what the instructions say. 1 quart is 32 ounces. So that's 96 ounces of water every day.
I reclaimed my life. You can too.
