Hi MedicalNerd!
I do hope I can be of some help. I was so overloaded with toxins that I looked to all sorts of things to even just ease the load of toxins that I was dealing with, so this may or may not be helpful for you - but it did help me.
I quit drinking coffee and switched to Pero, because it has both barley and chicory root, both of which will help detox the kidneys and liver - even the skeptics see that it may be of value!:
https://www.webmd.com/diet/health-benefits-barley-water#1https://www.rxlist.com/chicory/supplements.htmOther things I did daily, or as much as I could depending on my abilities that day:
dry skin brushing,
walked as much as I could (which usually wasn't much),
foot soaks (I couldn't tolerate the full body baths),
making sure my bowels moved at least once a day (sorry if it's TMI!),
pushing myself to drink at least 64 ounces of lemon water each and every day,
liver/gall bladder flushes (all natural), as needed,
oil pulling with tea tree oil,
taking activated charcoal, as needed - which was daily for a while,
Alpha lipoic acid,
Quercetin,
turmeric with black pepper (4:1 ratio),
Methyl B-12,
methyl folate,
Dandelion tincture,
red root tincture,
Yogi brand detox tea (original flavor)
cytokine remodulators - Chinese Skullcap and Red clover extracts
and keeping the amount of stress in my life at a bare minimum.
I have used apple cider vinegar to help with detoxing as well - it's really good, but started making my stomach issues worse, so I stopped using it daily and only use it occasionally when I know I need a boost in my detoxing for just a day or two.
As soon as I could tolerate it, I would do things to help me sweat - the more I sweat in a day, the better I felt for the next two or three days. Even today, a good sweat helps me feel better!
At first, my days basically rotated around the different detoxing items I was doing daily, but as I began to feel relief, I started lowering or stopping some of those items, although I still have not really quit doing things to detox until January of this year when I had a medical emergency and had to start using a bunch of pharmaceuticals to save my life - at that point I had to stop all herbs and detoxing to allow my body to deal with that emergency.
But, just two weeks ago, I was reinfected with Lyme yet again, so I'm back on the detoxing train! Only I'm still having to use several pharmaceuticals, so my use of herbs is extremely limited, and must rely on the 'manual' detoxing methods while I take the Doxy.
I do hope you find some information in this that will be of help to you!
Trav =)
