I had a brain MRI this month with+without contrast.
I told the neurologist she would see nonspecific bright spots in the T2 range in the white matter, a finding often associated with neuroborreliosis. They were there, yet she ignored their importance...?!
Bright spots at T2 intensity can indicate mild vasculitis or poorly perfused areas, or may indicate demyelination of nerves, and finding them at the Callosal sulcus boundary or periventricular space is significant for Lyme.
(At least, for someone who knows what their looking for, maybe not an average Neuroradiologist.)
