bronchitis, now strep throat

Such a kick in the.....well, you know....

Got my scripts filled for bartonella on Monday and was about to dive into the antibiotic therapy, when I got a chest virus late tuesday night that had been going around with a bunch of our family friends. Finally stopped having fevers friday afternoon, only to wake up in the middle of the night Friday/early Saturday with strep throat. Double whammy and am now on antibiotics for that.

So, it got me thinking, how have your experiences been with other infections and common colds during treatment? And, I've not read that any of you had fever when herxing, so I assume that is one very key way to know something else is going on?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

I would encourage you to look into Mycoplasma infections. You may not have it, but it would likely be worth your time to be sure.

Most of the time, our symptoms rule over the symptoms of a cold, so we don't even notice it - if we have symptoms. I don't know if it was actually ruled out or not, but I remember that it used to be said that because our immune systems were inhibited, we didn't experience the symptoms of colds and flus, because the immune system wasn't strong enough to fight it, so no symptoms.

I would say yes, if you have a fever, it's time to really look into what else is going on. While I've read where some have occasional fevers, most of those with a fever have something else going on. For me it was always a bad infection.
