Remember that everything has a cause, we just may not be smart enough to find it. Like most, your physician isn't interested in finding the cause. Knowledge is the key so read as much as you can and find the most knowledgeable physician you can. What you have sounds hormonal, but it has a cause and this could be something as simple a copper deficiency. Copper is essential for blood clotting and numerous other processes in the body. As Lyme patients, we have a tremendous amount of oxidative stress. Copper is essential in reducing free radical formation as well as stimulating the immune response. When copper levels drop, our immune system is diminished and our oxidative stress increases. So in essence, fighting bacteria every day can deplete copper levels. It's a downward spiral that will not correct itself without intervention. Most physicians fail to see this. I would get checked for low copper levels.
